About Law in KC

About Law in KCLet me thank you for taking the time to visit our website. You are welcome to use anyof the information you find here for your personal use. Law in Kansas City, also known as The Law Office of Carrie Sue Doxsee , LLC, came to be to meet the needs of a mom who wanted to be involved with her children’s school activities, the community and to find a new way to meet the needs of her clients. Life is busy! You have way too many things to do and trying to find time to visit with an attorney can be a challenge. We are working on getting all our intake forms online, various forms required in certain types of court cases accessible from our website, and at some time in the future having web cams for meetings. Email makes communication much easier with your attorney. While it is not a totally secure means of communication, it does allow us to notify clients of court dates or provide basic non-confidential information. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. I hope to answer many basic questions on the website to help you understand the maze of the legal system.

We are a child friendly office. Kids have their own area in my office where they can play. There are books, games, DVDs, videos, toys and a special kid table for young ones. As a mom, I am used to having children around and it is absolutely no problem to have them here.

Coming in to see an attorney may be a frightening experience, but it does not have to be so difficult. We are here to help you! Our goal is to make you comfortable from the moment you arrive and treat you like family. The most important part of choosing an attorney is finding a good fit—someone you like and who can relate to you. Representing a client well involves good listening skills, compassion, legal knowledge, and a gift of encouragement. Attorneys are also called counselors for a good reason. Most legal problems have the client upset, confused or angry. We understand the range of emotions you are feeling. Let us help you move through this moment in your life and get to the other side.

We have flat fees and hourly fees available.

When life gets messy, it does not consult your checkbook. Payment plans available.

We will try to make your fees as affordable as possible. Call us today at 781-5905 (ask for Carrie Sue) or .
